Our team is working diligently on your behalf to not only expand the number of cities where OAASYS is active, but also to continually increase the effectiveness of OAASYS so that your gifts to Heroic Media achieve even greater impact.

One of the metrics we use to measure changes in the effectiveness of OAASYS is the “Gift Impact Index.”

You can see a basic representation of this index in the graph below.

The three blue columns in the graph represent the number of Reported Lives Saved from abortion for each year between 2016 and 2018. As you can see, the number of lives saved from abortion has increased substantially each year. We are so very grateful to you for your generous gifts that enabled that achievement!

But there is much more to this graph than just the blue columns.

I would like for you to pay attention to the brown line on the graph, because it conveys a very important insight. That line measures the increase in impact of each charitable dollar given to Heroic Media in 2017 and 2018 versus the baseline year of 2016.

Another way to say that is this: The brown line measures Heroic Media’s success at “stretching” each dollar we received from you in 2017 and 2018 to achieve more of the result that you want: Saving Lives from abortion.

For example, if we compare the years 2016 and 2017 on the graph, looking at the blue columns, you can see that there were approximately three times more lives saved from abortion in 2017 than in 2016. Of course, this is fantastic news!

Now, if you look at the brown line between 2016 and 2017, it indicates that it did not require receiving three times more charitable gift income in 2017 than in 2016 to achieve the result of helping save three times more preborn babies from abortion. If it had required three times more charitable gift income to achieve that result, then instead of sloping upwards, the brown line would have remained flat at 0% between the 2016 and 2017 blue columns.

Instead, the upward sloping brown line shows that Heroic Media successfully stretched each of your charitable dollars further in 2017 compared to 2016. Specifically, in 2017, 2.05 times more preborn babies’ lives were saved from abortion per each charitable dollar we received than in 2016. This trend continued in 2018, as 3.08 times more preborn babies’ lives were saved from abortion per each charitable dollar we received than in 2016.
